The year was 1975. Unknown singer Stevie Nicks and guitarist Lindsey Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac, Wheel of Fortune made its TV debut on NBC, and 50 Cent, David Beckham, Angelina Jolie, Bradley Cooper, Fergie, and Tiger Woods were all born in 1975. Music was all over the road, with rock, folk, country, acid-induced and punk crashing through your radios.

“Fame” by David Bowie appeared on the charts with Glen Campbell’s “Rhinestone Cowboy” along with “The Hustle” from Van McCoy – talk about a lack of rock focus.

The top rock LPs in 1975 were Pink Floyd’s ‘Wish You Were Here’ “Blood on the Tracks’ from Dylan, ‘Born to Run’ from Bruce Springsteen, Queen’s ‘A Night at the Opera’ and ‘Toys in the Attic’ from Aerosmith.

The number one single in 1975 was the Captain and Tennille’s “Love Will Keep Us Together” and 10cc, Paul McCartney, Grand Funk Railroad, Elton, Bay City Rollers, and the Average White Band hit the charts that year.
