Star Trek actor Anton Yelchin died unexpectedly a week ago from a freak car accident. Unfortunately, we have ourselves another celebrity joining the ‘27’ club.
There is this belief that some celebrities die from various suspicious causes, oddly at the age of 27. The ‘27’ Club has many famous members whose lives were cut short. Janis Joplin, Ron ‘Pigpen’ McKernan (Grateful Dead) Jim Morrison, and Kurt Cobain are all in the club.
If you think this mystery of death at the age of 27 is a lark, consider Amy Winehouse, Pete Ham of Badfinger, Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones, Malcom Hale of Spanky and Our Gang, and original Drifters singer Rudy Lewis all died at 27.
Those that have passed away who were not in the 27 club are still sadly missed. In 2016 alone, we’ve lost Glenn Frey, David Bowie, Lemmy, Keith Emerson, George Martin, Paul Kantner, and Robert Stigwood – all leaving us this year.
