The Bee Gees New Release Due in Weeks

The Bee Gees are back, at least in film, as their 1989 concert from the National Tennis Centre in Melbourne AU called ‘One for All Tour: Live in Australia 1989’ will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD early February.

The amount of music and hit singles the Bee Gees provided over their career is astounding, considering the band broke the charts in the early 60s, starting with songs like “I Started a Joke,” “New York Mining Disaster 1941,” “Words,” and “Holiday.” The Bee Gees proved their ability to evolve through the 70s, the dreaded disco era, by making more hits, many from the ‘Saturday Night Fever’ movie which included “Stayin’ Alive,” “Too Much Heaven,” “Nights on Broadway,” and more.

The Bee Gees have sold more than 240 million records over the years, but the Gibb family has suffered their fair share of sadness; baby Brother Andy died at 30 due to a drug overdose in 1988, while Maurice died at the age of 53 in Miami in 2003, and Robin passed away at 62 in London in 2012. Only Barry remains.
