The 5th Dimension was one of the most popular bands in the 60s and 70s, earning countless Grammy and other awards. Two of the members, Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr., were more than band mages, they are also soul mates or a married couple. The two announced this week that they are about to release a new album, 30 years after their last charted single or album sales receipt

The two hit the charts with the song “You Don’t Have to Be a Star (To Be in My Show)” as a duo when the 5th broke up, but who could forget the bands biggest songs; “Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In,” “Last Night (I Didn’t Get to Sleep at All),” Up, Up and Away,” “Stoned Soul Picnic,” “Wedding Bell Blues.” The complete tory behind the new album is expected to be revealed within 30 days.
