Metallica’s Cliff Burton the band’s bassist died in a tragic bus accident in 1986, and his hometown of Castro Valley recently honored their hometown hero with ‘Cliff Burton Day’ on what would have been his 56th birthday. The late Eagles co-founder Glenn Frey has a street named after him in his hometown of Royal Oak, Michigan a suburb of Detroit. There’s a Jimi Hendrix Way in Bellingham, WA, a Bob Dylan Way in Duluth, MN, a Paul Anka Drive in Ottawa, and a Frank Sinatra Drive in Palm Springs.
