Britney Honored With GLADD’s Annual Vanguard Award

Britney Spears has had a bounce-back year, breaking sales and ticket records during her Las Vegas residency earlier in the year, launching a successful tour on the road away from Vegas, and now earning the Vanguard Award, which she will receive during the 29th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, April 12th in Los Angeles.

Each year the award is given to the celebrity who works to make a difference in the world by promoting equality and acceptance of people of all preferences. Previous winners of the Vanguard Award have been Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Demi Lovato, and Cher.

In July Britney will be in Washington DC July 12th and 13th, Atlantic City July 19th and 20th, New York City Radio City Music Hall July 23rd and 24th, then Hollywood FL at the Hard Rock Event Center July 27th, 28th, and 29th.
