Pentatonix Made for This Holiday Season

Over the holiday season you probably heard a song on the radio called “Hallelujah” by a group that you may not be familiar with called Pentatonix. Let’s get to know this group better.

Pentatonix is group of five singers from Arlington, Texas; Avi Kaplan, Scott Hoying, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Mitch Grassi. What makes this band different is they are an exclusively a Capella group – no instruments.

The biggest moment for Pentatonix was winning the third season of NBC’s ‘Sing Off’ earning $200,000 and a recording contract. Their YouTube channel is currently in the top 10 of most watched music channels on YouTube, and frankly it’s no wonder they earned a Grammy, becoming the only A capella group ever to do so.
