Monday is a fine day to recover from the big football game, and a weekend of having way too much fun – don’t you miss the boss? Here are your Monday music news headlines…

Ringo Starr has recently announced an upcoming tour that will feature his ‘All Stars,’ primarily be on the east coast, from upstate New York to Washington D.C. in June.

The Who is releasing its final singles box set in early May. The songs include “Eminence Front” “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” “Squeeze Box,” and “Who Are You,” and will include a picture book for your delight.

New Yorker, Don McLean, who was arrested a few weeks ago for allegedly throwing his wife against a glass window, being charged with domestic abuse, has good news. His troubles will go away with a hefty fine and probation throughout the remainder of the year.

Brian Wilson has announced his Pet Sounds 50th Anniversary tour to begin in mid-June.

Recent birthdays include Carole King, Elton John’s Nigel Olsson, Michael McDonald, Steve Hackett of the original Genesis, Kenny Hyslop of Simple Minds fame, and Fito de la Perra of Canned Heat.
