The Beatles come in first with 350,000,000 albums sold, followed by the late Michael Jackson at approximately 225,000,000 sold. Madonna is number five with 200,000,000 albums sold, followed by Elton John at nearly 180,000,000 units purchased.
U2 is in the top 10 of most albums sold with over 170,000,000 albums sold, Celine Dion has sold over 160,000,000 albums, the Eagles at 150,000,000, and Mariah Carey and Rod Stewart in the neighborhood of 140,000,000 albums sold.
Barbra Streisand and Whitney Houston have sold over 130,000,000 albums in their careers, while Billy Joel, the Bee Gees and Phil Collins in the stratosphere of 125,000,000 in album sales.
