The MTV Europe Music Awards were live from Rotterdam, Netherlands just Sunday night and there were many female winners to talk about. Unfortunately for Adele, her four nominations did not amount to any hardware and the same goes for Beyonce. She was up for three awards, but lost out on all three. Here are the females in the music industry that won an award at the 2016 MTV EMAs
The Best Female award was given to Lady Gaga. She won the award over Adele, Beyonce, Rihanna and Sia. Zara Larsson performed at the award show, but also won an award as well! She took home the Best New award. For Best Pop, it was a no-brainer. Fifth Harmony would beat out Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Shawn Mendes, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez for this one.
Finally, Ariana Grande won the Worldwide Act – U.S. award. Congratulations to everyone involved with the 2016 MTV Europe Music Awards especially those who went home winners.
