Imagine Dragons the Lone Rocker at Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

Not surprisingly, there were not many rockers at the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. In fact, there was only one rock band nominated for the six musical awards at the show. While many of the awards were dedicated for television and movie categories, there were six that were strictly music. Imagine Dragons was the lone rock band at the show and unfortunately they did not come away with any hardware.

They were nominated for Favorite Music Group, which was won by Fifth Harmony, an all girl pop group. Others nominated for this award include Pentatonix, One Direction, Fall Out Boy, and Maroon 5. All of those groups would be considered pop or top 40.

This is the second year in a row that Imagine Dragons has been nominated for Favorite Music Group and is the second year in a row they have fallen short.
