Elvis Will Be Back on TV in 2019

It still hard to believe that Elvis died decades ago, yes, our loss is eternal. When he was still the King of Rock and Roll, he starred on the NBC special that showed off his talents in a packaged special called Elvis’ ‘Comeback Special,’ beginning in December of 1968.

We now hear that the ‘50th Anniversary of the Elvis Comeback Special’ is scheduled for a two-hour celebration sometime in 2019, featuring today’s stars recreating the songs and backdrops that made the tunes famous. There will be plenty of black and white television footage, actual takes and out-takes of the production back in 1968, and interviews of those who are still alive. We will keep you posted as the production is in its early stages, but the ‘50th Anniversary of the Elvis Comeback Special’ will air in 2019.
