Demi Lovato Speaking Up

Recently, the Kesha facing her sexual abuser conversation has been the big talk in the business. Many have offered their support for her as well as money. One of those who have donated to the cause is Taylor Swift. She gave $250,000 to help her situation out, and Demi Lovato had some choice words for that kind of donation.

Lovato went on social media and said that she basically would rather people push the cause and talk about the problems with rape and those crimes not being reported. She went on to say that she thinks it’s wrong for people to push their brand by throwing money at a topic like this one when really they should go out and talk about the issues at hand.

Lovato says that she wasn’t “throwing shade” at Taylor Swift, but just wants these issues fixed because it’s such a big problem. She says that she was fired up about the topic because it’s something she really believes in.

We’re not sure what to think about who is throwing shade at who, but we do hope the issue is brought to the forefront more often so we can improve on it.
