Demi Lovato Receives GLAAD Award

The GLAAD Awards occurred this past weekend and many stars were in attendance. One of these stars that was in attendance was Demi Lovato. She received the Vanguard Award at this amazing event.

This award goes to someone who promotes equal rights for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community (LBGT). Demi has certainly done this in the past being an outspoken voice for women of all ages as well as this LGBT community.

She’s not the only superstar singer who has won the Vanguard Award. Others who have won the award include Kerry Washington, Jennifer Lopez, Josh Hutcherson, Drew Barrymore, Kathy Griffin, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Aniston, and Charlize Theron among many others. The award has been given out since 1993 when Roseanne Barr and Tom Arnold won the award.
