With the way the Chicago Cubs won the World Series and the backstory behind this franchise, you just knew a movie telling their story was coming. Thanks to Radar Pictures and David Ross, it now is. David Ross has written a book titled “Teammate: My Journey in Baseball and a World Series for the Ages” and it’s set to come out on May 9. The movie that comes out that will certainly entertain Cubs fans will be an adaptation of Ross’ book.
The Chicago Cubs had not won a championship for over 100 years, so of course this story was meant to be told on the big screen. In playing in this year’s World Series, David Ross earned the title of oldest player to hit a home run a World Series game seven.
This moment was truly magical and so has Ross’ career. He played 15 years before retiring after the Cubs win. We’re so excited to see what comes of his book and this movie.
