Bruno Mars’ Success at the Grammys

Bruno Mars has been to many Grammys, but very rarely has he walked away a winner. He’s been nominated for 21 Grammys since 2011, but had only won two awards (two nominations in 2016). This year Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson would change that though, sweeping the board when it came to their nominations.

The two put together one heck of an album when they recorded “Uptown Funk.” The song has had mass appeal and has even just recently been a part of the NFL Championship Game’s halftime show for a second time. During this award show, it would take home two awards for Mars and Ronson.

“Uptown Funk” was the recipient of the Best Record Album and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at this year’s Grammys. Previous wins for Mars came in 2011 (Best Male Pop Performance) and 2014 (Best Pop Vocal Album).
