The 5th Dimension was easily one of the most enjoyable pop and groovy groups from the late 60s and early 70s that made us forget about or trouble and yearn for a better day. Here are our favorite 5th Dimension Songs…

“(Last Night) I Didn’t Get to Sleep at All” was a song originally offer to the Carpenters who said yes, but later recanted because the song mentioned sleeping pills. The song was written by Tony Macaulay, writer of “Build Me Up Buttercup” “Baby Now That I’ve Found You” and for The Foundations, “Go Where You Wanna Go” was the group’s first charted song in 1966 and the song that started it all. For some reason, the song had more chart success in Canada than in the USA.

“Up Up and Away” won 1968 Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, and Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

“Never My Love” was the live cover version of the Association hit, and a ballad that Marilyn says is dear to her this day.
