Just the other day Crystal Gayle was performing at the Grand Ole Opry when she received a huge surprise. Carrie Underwood, a member of the Opry, invited her to join the family so to speak. It has been announced that she will be inducted into the Opry in January of next year.

Gayle has been performing at the Grand Ole Opry for many years, starting when she was just 16. She sang “Ribbon of Darkness” at that age on the Ryman Auditorium Stage.

Before Gayle was invited to the Opry just the other night, she performed on stage with Underwood, singing “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue.” After a touching moment, the invitation was given by Underwood and the rest is history!

Congratulations Crystal Gayle on this wonderful honor!
