There is still no word on the cause of death for Cranberries lead singer Dolores O’Riordan who passed away a few days ago at the age of 46. Dolores had been diagnosed with a bipolar disorder recently, but was quite healthy, spending time in London, working in a recording session at the time of her death.

In the 90s the Cranberries earned a Juno and Brit award, selling over 40 million records in a brief period of time.

On a personal front, Dolores grew up in Limerick Ireland, the youngest of seven children, writing songs before the age of 13. Dolores grew up wanting to be a rock and roll star. A few years later she answered an ad that was seeking a female singer for a local Limerick rock band; the rest they say is rock and roll history.

The band’s best songs, in our opinion, were “Linger,” “Zombie,” “Just My Imagination,” and their first charted single, “Dreams.”

Dolores married Duran Duran’s former tour manager Don Burton in 1994, bringing three children into this world. The two divorced in 2014.
