Tina Grabs Lifetime Acheivement Honors

It’s safe to say that legendary performer and recording artist Tina Turner covets her many accomplishments; selling over 60 million records, becoming a music icon that has lasted multiple decades, and being admitted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (as Ike and Tina Turner) but this upcoming honor will be one to remember.

Tina Turner will receive a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ from the Recording Academy (the Grammy folks) later this summer. Also scheduled to be honored will be studio musician Hal Blaine, Queen, Louis Jordan, Neil Diamond, The Meters, and Emmylou Harris. Tina Turner is a survivor, enduring years of alleged physical and emotional abuse in her marriage to Ike, yet continues to grow her fan base, from the early 60s until today. Her strength and courage is a shining example to anyone who thinks that can’t make their dreams come true.

Tina re-booted in the 80s, becoming the biggest selling artist of the decade, showing she had the rare talent to evolve.

Tina is a world-class entertainer; appearing in nine films and countless television shows. She has earned Grammy, Kennedy Center Honor, and has her star on both the Hollywood and St. Louis Walk of Fames.
