David Coverdale had a nice rune with Deep Purple before founding Whitesnake in 1978, and Whitesnake had a nice run on the charts, releasing 12 albums. The best tunes this semi-hair band would deliver were catchy rock ballads like “Here I Go Again,” Is This Love,” and “Still of the Night.”

Now, Whitesnake is about to kick off 2018 with an extensive tour and new album, “Flesh and Blood,” dropping early spring. David and the boys in the band are set to tour this summer with legendary Foreigner, and Jason Bonham’s ‘Led Zeppelin Experience.’ Although David is sure to be busy this upcoming year, he’d actually contemplated retirement.

The band’s last album “The Purple Album” had intended to be their last, but as fate would have it, fame, fortune and fans still want him around. David is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Deep Purple, inducted in 2016.
