Getting to Know The Revivalists

The Revivalists are on the charts with a catchy song called “Wish I Knew,” and it’s time we learned more about this really cool band from New Orleans. The Revivalists began in 2007, and what makes them different is the horn section that constitutes the real talent of the group.

Zack Feinberg and lead singer David Shaw in an unusual way, almost into each other while riding bikes! David was singing a song that Zack when David stopped and started a conversation. The rest they say is rock and roll history.

Their big break came when the band was invited to play live on the on NBC’s Today show. Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb were blown away by the performance and the calls began to flood their manager’s phone. The Revivalists are Zack and David, along with Michael Girardot (keys/trumpet), George Gekas (bass), Ed Williams (pedal steel guitar), Rob Ingraham (saxophone).
