“Rake It Up” from Yo Gotti and Nicki Minaj has officially become a number one hit on the Mediabase urban chart. After sitting at number two last week, it made the jump to the top position putting DJ Khaled, Rihanna and Bryson Tiller’s “Wild Thoughts” in their dust. There’s only a 59-spin difference between the two, but the freshness of “Rake It Up” should keep it at number one for at least another week.
Kendrick Lamar had a big night at the MTV VMAs and also on the chart. LOYALTY. moved from 10 to seven this week and should continue moving up in the next few weeks.
