More Talented Artists and Bands That Never Won a Grammy

In music, it’s all about the fans and the music of course. Along the way it’s also nice to be recognized by your peers, thus the Billboard Song of the Year, Brit Award, and Grammy is he cherry on the top for any musician’s ego. It’s hard to believe, but the list of singers and acts that have never won a Grammy is staggering. Take a look and you’ll see what we mean…

The Kinks have never been nominated for a Grammy, but Ray Davies and his brother don’t care. These two drove the popularity of a band that truly was outside the norm, pleased to be un-recognized.

It’s crazy to think that as a solo artist, Diana Ross has never won a Grammy. Yes, as the lead singer of the legendary Motown group The Supremes, she’s part of many Grammy wins, but as a ‘Lady Sings the Blues’ kind of gal, she’s never won.

Janis Joplin didn’t win a Grammy, but frankly she probably scared the voting committee to death. Joplin was an odd one, but extremely talented as we all know.

The Jackson Five won all kinds of awards, but never a Grammy. Michael earned 13 Grammy honors, but the family failed to win. The closest they came as the Jackson Five winning a Grammy was in 1970, losing to the Carpenters.
