Green Day Returns to Number One

Green Day has had plenty of number one hits in their time as a rock band and now they have another one. On this week’s Mediabase Active Rock chart, the band has moved up one spot from two to one to secure another number one hit. The song is titled, “Bang Bang,” and has a decent lead on last week’s number one hit, “Take Me Down,” from Pretty Reckless. Metallica’s “Hardwired” rounds out the top three.

We’ve seen an influx of new rock bands/songs in the top 10 over the last few weeks and the most recent is “Phantom Bride” from the Deftones. Can they make a push to the top over the next few weeks?
