It was 15 years ago that Alicia Key hit the world with her debut album and boy was it great. The album was called “Songs in A Minor” and it was widely considered the best album she would ever put out.

The album would go on to win five Grammys at that year’s award show and she would become the second female solo artist to accomplish that feat with Lauryn Hill being the other. Keys won Best R&B Album, Best R&B Song, Best New Artist, Song of the Year, and Best Female R&B Pop Vocal Performance.

Can’t remember the hits that came off “Songs in A Minor?” She released four singles off the album and they are as follows: Fallin, A Woman’s Worth, How Come You Don’t Call Me?, and Girlfriend.

The worldwide album sales number is at 12 million sold while she has sold over six million copies in the United States.
