The film Game Night, shown in 3,500 venues, surprised everyone at the box office with a weekend take of nearly $16 million. This film is proving ‘word of mouth’ may be the best marketing tool in advertising.

Annihilation, Peter Rabbit, Fifty Shades Freed, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, The 15:17 to Paris, The Greatest Showman, Every Day (in the lowest number of theaters among its competitors at just under 2,000 venues),and Early Man rounded out the top 10.
