A rare acetate recording of the Beatles called “It’s for You” written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney has been sold in action in London. The song was a gift to the love for John’s love interest at the time Cilla Black. Cilla died last year and her nephew found the antiquity and included it in a Beatles auction.

While we’re talking about the Fab Four, Ringo Starr became a ‘great’ grandfather a few weeks ago with the birth of his grandson Zac’s baby boy.

The Herb Alpert Foundation reported that it will donate $10.1 million to an endowment assisting in the payments of college tuition for the Los Angeles Community College for all music majors.

Aretha Franklin is a fighter, battling cancer a few years ago, picking up her good health and desire to tour in 2015 and most of this year. Now, her doctors have ordered off the road causing a cancellation of many of her fall appearances.
