The Rolling Stones have been together for nearly 50+ years. Celebrating its 50th birthday this year is the Stones album ‘Beggars Banquet,’ an LP that gave us the singles “Sympathy for the Devil” and “Street Fighting Man.” It’s hard to believe that to this day has a creative fire to write and record new music. Well. We continue to be amazed by what we hear from the Stones.
Just last year the Rolling Stones released ‘Blue and Lonesome’ album, went on the road for a bit, and have been taking it easy of late. Mick became a father for the 8th time last year, a few months later Ronnie Wood became the father of twins at the age of 68.
The Rolling Stones have sold over 200 million albums, 29 studio albums, 18 live albums, and have been on nearly 50 tours of some sorts. Not bad for a band that had 14 hotels turned them down for room reservation in New York City for their American tour in 1966.
