They say that the NHL playoffs are the best in sports and so far we’ve seen that with some really great games so far this playoff season. We’ve also seen many upsets with teams like the Nashville Predators and the New York Rangers really surprising some people. The Chicago Blackhawks, Montreal Canadiens and Minnesota Wild were the big upsets of the playoffs with two of them being number one seeds!
Where do we stand now though? Well, the Nashville Predators continue to impress and surprise. They’re up 3-1 on the St. Louis Blues who surprised some by beating the Minnesota Wild in five games in round one.
The Washington Capitals continue to struggle in the playoffs with their season on the line come Saturday. Game five takes place then and they’re facing elimination against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Rangers tied the series up with Ottawa on Thursday night with the big 4-1 win at home.
