We’re Talking ACMs!

The 53rd annual ACM Awards is this Sunday, live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, 8 pm EST on CBS. We won’t know all the winners until the end of the night, but here are five things you may not have known about the ACM Awards…

Yes, Reba is the host for the ceremony, but did you know she’s already hosted the show six other times? Yup, in 1988 she joined actor John Schneider and Mac Davis for the honors.

Miranda Lambert is again nominated for the coveted ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ award, an award she’s won nine times!

In the voting process, Academy of Country Music’s membership gets one vote for each category, and there are multiple rounds of voting until the winner is chosen.

The first ACM award was handed out in 1966, a show produced by the legendary Dick Clark.

In case you didn’t know, the Artist of the Decade in the 60s was Marty Robbins, the 70s Loretta Lynn, the 80s the band Alabama, the 90s, Garth, and the 2000s George Strait.
