Weezer Drops Piano Version of ‘Hero’

On Thursday, July 30th, Weezer unveiled a new piano version of the new single “Hero”. The single debuted on May 6 ahead of their delayed upcoming 14th studio album Van Weezer. Weezer dedicated its release day to real-life frontline heroes combatting the coronavirus pandemic by partnering with Postmates to send meals to LA’s Good Samaritan Hospital.

The band took to Twitter to break the news to their thousands of fans across the globe: “Hitting all the right keys with the piano version of ‘Hero,’ out everywhere today.. More details about Van Weezer and more on the way for you.”
