Weezer Dedicates Album ‘Van Weezer’ Album to The Late Eddie Van Halen

On Tuesday, October 6th, a number of stars flooded social media mourning the loss of a rock legend, Eddie Van Halen. One of which was Weezer, who happened to dedicate their upcoming album, Van Weezer, to the guitar God.

“We’re saddened to hear of Eddie Van Halen’s untimely passing today,” the band tweeted alongside a photo of a young, long-haired EVH shredding on a guitar. “Given the news today, we want to dedicate our album Van Weezer to Eddie as a thank you for all the incredible music that soundtracked our youth and inspired the record. RIP EVH.”
