Vin Diesel has just announced that the upcoming addition and penultimate film, of the Fast & Furious series, is slated to be released on May 19, 2023.

The actor and producer took to Instagram to reveal the news, as well as the film’s title, Fast X. He also confirmed that production has officially begun with a teasing caption that simply reads: “Day one…”

Fast X, which will be the first of the series’ two-part finale, will feature familiar faces as well as some exciting new additions. Brie Larson and Jason Mamoa were some of the most recent additions to the cast.

While Fast X may be the beginning of the end for Fast & Furious, the creators have reassured fans that the universe of fast cars, heists, and family will, in fact, continue on through a series of planned spinoffs.
