The Minnesota Twins faced off against the Detroit Tigers last night and for the first time since 2010, they did it without Terry Ryan as their General Manager. The Twins fired the two-time GM of the Twins Monday in part because of their struggles this season. The team started 0-9 to start the season with much of their young talent failing to produce for them. Before Monday’s game against the Tigers, the Twins owned a 33-58 record. This puts them 21 games out of first place in the AL Central.

For Paul Molitor, the Twins manager, there is no reason to fear for his own job as the Twins have talked with him and would like him to be around for the 2017 season at the very least.

Terry Ryan spent 12 seasons with the Twins before he stepped down in 2007. He would then take the General Manager position again in 2011.
