The 2016 numbers have come in and the number one album for vinyl records sales comes from Twenty One Pilots. The band’s latest album, “Blurryface,” took the number one spot with over 49,000 in sales. Another one of the band’s albums came in at number nine. “Vessel” finished with just over 31,000 in vinyl record sales.
The band had huge success last year with their three major hits. These great hits led the album to over 675,000 in total album sales. That number is quite large, but what’s even bigger is its song sales (4,000,000+) and audio streams in 2016 (874,000,000). Can you say wow!?
Other rock bands to make the list of top vinyl record sales includes Blink-182 (California – 16) and Panic! at the Disco (Death of a Bachelor – 17).
