Tupac becomes the first solo hip-hop artist to join this club and is now just one of six hip-hop acts to be in the Hall. He joins the Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, N.W.A. and Run-DMC with this induction.

The 2017 induction ceremony will be taking place in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center. The others that will be celebrated include Joan Baez, Yes, Journey, ELO and Pearl Jam.
