Tupac Passes Away 20 Years Ago This Week

It was 20 years ago this week that we lost one of the greatest rappers of all time, changing the landscape of hip hop for many years. Who would have known what would have happened to the music industry if Tupac Shakur would have survived the fatal gun shot he received 20 years ago.

Sept. 13 is the anniversary of his death, but he was shot on Sept. 8 early in the morning. He had gone to the Mike Tyson boxing match before leaving to go out for the night. While out, he was shot four times, twice in the chest, one puncturing his lung.

This gun shot to his lung would be the eventual cause of death as he passed away due to respiratory failure and cardiopulmonary arrest.

His fifth album, “The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory” was released just a few months after Tupac’s shooting and was a huge hit. Since then people have thought up the conspiracy theory that Tupac is still alive, but of course there’s no proof of that.
