The Democratic National Convention has concluded, and the Philadelphia Soul was unique in many ways at that time, with a mixture of psychedelic and rock overtones, lush arraignments, and the arraignment of horns, and strings. TSOP or ‘The Sound of Philadelphia,’ was more than a great tune: it was a way of life and attitude that said to the Motown Sound “Hey we’re here too.”
