Tommy Hits the UK and The Who Takes Residency

Only the lucky few were able to see ‘The Who’ live in concert in the 60s and 70s. Tommy the Broadway show appeared on 42nd Street for a few years in New York, earning five Tony Award and Grammy for ‘Best Musical Show’ in the early 90s, but again The Who live in concert remains a ‘bucket list’ item for millions of fans.

Now, the touring ‘Tommy’ has opened in the UK; Pete Townshend has written a few songs for the production, the first called ‘Amazing Journey’ which opens the show.

In more exciting news, we hear that The Who has taken residency in Las Vegas this July and August performing at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on July 29 and August 1, 4, 7, 9 and 11.
