1963 – The Rolling Stones’ first record, “Come On,” was released.

1966 – Roy Orbison’s first wife Claudette was killed in a motorcycle accident.

1969 – Johnny Cash debuted his own network show on CBS-TV.

1969 – Blind Faith made its British debut with a free concert at London’s Hyde Park.

1972 – The musical “Grease” opened on Broadway. It had been playing off-Broadway for about 4 months.

1976 – Capitol Records released the Beatles package “Rock ‘N’ Roll Music.”

1978 – Prince’s first single “Soft and Wet” was released.
