Some of the strongest women on television are the ladies of the Walking Dead; so let’s take a minute to share a little bit of info on a few of these talented stars…

Danai Gurira is from Grinnell, Iowa and is actually an established playwright and author as well as actress. Her work has appeared on some of the most prestigious stages in the UK and USA. Danai speaks four languages and lives in Los Angeles and New York.

Alanna Masterson may be the second youngest star on the show (29) born in Long Island, NY. She’s appeared on the soap The Young and the Restless, and shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Malcolm in the Middle.

Much like Danai, Melissa McBride’s background is not necessarily acting; she’s a former casting director and hails from Lexington KY. Her television resume includes stints on Dawson’s Creek, Matlock, and In the Heat of the Night.

Katelyn Nacon is the youngest star on the Walking Dead (18) and hails from Atlanta. She began with a role in the film Loving Generously. Katelyn is an accomplished musician in her off time.
