The MTV Music Video Awards are one month away and with the date set for August 27, it’s time we learn who is up for what award. One artist who could have a huge night at this one is The Weeknd. We’re sure he’ll be headed to The Forum in Inglewood, California when this date comes because he has five nominations at this one.
His song, “Reminder,” was a huge hit for fans and those at MTV as it is up for Best Editing, Best Art Direction, Best Direction and Video of the Year. To go along with those four, The Weeknd is up for Artist of the Year.
Others up for Artist of the year include Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Lorde, Ariana Grande and Ed Sheeran. Lamar has eight nominations at this, so he could have a fun night there as well! Will you be tuning in live for this one come August 27? We know we will!
