The Weeknd’s Big Day at the MTV Europe Music Awards

The Weeknd has himself a new identity with his latest album, but still has his great sound we know and love. This was very evident at the 2016 MTV Europe Music Awards that occurred the other night. Not only did he perform, but he won one of his two nominations.

The Weeknd was nominated for Best Video with his hit “Starboy.” The song would win the award, but when it came to Best Male, The Weeknd would lose to Shawn Mendes.

His performance was nothing short of stellar as he really showed off his voice and new look. With his hair cut and a leather jacket on, he took to his new identity well.

The Weekend’s sophomore album, “Starboy,” is set to be released November 25.
