The 2016 Billboard Music Awards is going down on May 22 and all of the biggest stars will be in attendance for some of the biggest awards of the year. It’s no Grammy award, but winning a Billboard Music Award really shows how great an artist/song did on the charts and to the fans. Let’s take a look at one of the biggest awards of the night, the Billboard Chart Achievement Award…
The finalists for this award are The Weeknd, Drake, Adele, Little Big Town, and Rihanna. Amazingly, three hip hop artists are up for this one and they are well deserving when you take a look back at their years. Rihanna and Drake both have had plenty of success lately. They both have released new albums in the past six months and have worked together for one monster jam, “Work.” The Weeknd ruled the summer with his two major hits, “The Hills” and “Can’t Feel My Face.”
It’ll be interesting to see who takes home this award come Sunday night, but there’s a very good chance it’ll be one of these three.
