If you’ve ever been to a Huey Lewis and the News concert, or sat in the front row of a Doobie Brothers or Santana concert, then you’re a fan of this backup group of horns.

The Tower of Power became the ‘law’ in the late 60s, 70s and 80s relative to a horn section being on a rock song.

The Tower of Power consists of Emilio Castillo, Stephen ‘Doc’ Kupka, Tom Politzer, Jerry Cortez, Marcus Scott, Adolfo Acosta, Sal Cracchiolo, Roger Smith, David Garibaldi and Francis ‘Rocco’ Prestia. Their biggest song as an artist is the classic tune “You’re Still A Young Man.”

The band is out on tour and it’s well worth your time and money to check them out.
