Outside of the 60s, the years found in the 1980s is considered to be the most influential 10 years of our time. You could still smoke on commercial airplanes, and Cabbage Patch Dolls were all the rage. Technology took a leap towards the future with the Walkman, the cellphone, VCRs, Video Games, Cable TV, and the introduction of the home computer by Apple. What was the music like?

Conclusions: How big were Madonna and Prince? OMG! Notice how the Americans ruled the charts for most of the Pop 80s, with the wonderful additions of Wham, U2, and The Police. How sad is it that the 3 most influential voices of this decade are gone; Michael, George, and Prince.
