The 2016 Teen Choice Awards covered all things entertainment meaning they were handing out awards involved with music, television, movies, fashion and even sports. There were three awards given out to sports stars or teams and we wanted to take a look at them before we got too deep into the work week.
The Choice Male Athlete award had some stiff competition with Kobe Bryant, Steph Curry, Peyton Manning, Roman Reigns, Cristiano Ronaldo and John Cena up for the award. Steph Curry would end up winning this one.
For Female Athlete we saw The Bella Twins beat out Danica Patrick, Ronda Rousey, Serena Williams, Simone Biles and Alex Morgan. Wow what a group of talent there!
The Cleveland Cavaliers may have won the NBA Championship, but they wouldn’t take home the Choice Sports Team award. They lost out to USA 2016 Olympic Team. Others nominated included San Jose Sharks, Denver Broncos, Golden State Warriors and FC Barcelona.
