The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame online voting closed last week; it will come as no surprise to you that Journey won the online voting, making the deserving band a shoe-in for the Hall. The Electric Light Orchestra, Yes, Pearl Jam and Cars finished the top five in online voting.
So… Here’s the question? Will Steve Perry be invited to perform (should Journey they get in) at the induction ceremony? The 2017 Hall nominees made news in October, and include the J. Geils Band, Jane’s Addiction, Janet Jackson, Joan Baez, Joe Tex, Bad Brains, Chaka Khan, Chic, Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, MC5, Steppenwolf, Tupac Shakur and the Zombies.
The induction ceremony is scheduled for April at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The revelation of who did make it to the Hall will be announced within a day or two, so stayed tuned!
