Unknown singer Stevie Knicks and guitarist Lindsey Buckingham joined Fleetwood Mac, Wheel of Fortune made its TV debut on NBC, and 50 Cent, David Beckham, Angelina Jolie, Bradley Cooper, Fergie, and Tiger Woods were all born in 1975. “Before the Next Teardrop Falls” by Freddy Fender had been recorded a dozen times before the Fender release in 1975 with little success. Freddy was a struggling country artist who had been in virtual arguments with his manager about recording the standard, Freddy had always refused to hear it. Finally he relented and recorded the song, only for the tune to become s smash hit. Little did anyone know this unusual pitch and sound would break through the charts on popular Top 40 radio stations…

“Fame” by David Bowie came from the album ‘Young Americans’ and was co-written by John Lennon, friends with David at the time. The song was written as an angry response to the legal battles he had endured with his previous recording label, sang with anger and resentment.
